Lessons take place at Wessington Primary School, Washington on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Lessons last for 30 minutes and incorporate both the practical and theory sides of learning an instrument.
Both group and individual lessons are offered, subject to availability. Group lessons consist of two pupils who are of similar ability. Each pupil has their own instrument, is listened to individually and also participates in group work with their partner. This means that each pupil progresses as an individual, but at the same time learns from their partner.
The teaching method varies from pupil to pupil and depends a great deal upon any previous experience, the pupil’s age and the instrument they wish to learn. Sweet Symphony uses several series of tuition books, choosing the most suitable for each pupil.
Pupils are taught on Yahama PSR-E403 Keyboards (picture right). Our teaching rooms are situated in Wessington Primary School in the village of Glebe, Washington (picture right)
